FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Consultant Ideology Costs Cracker Barrel Millions, Highlights Billion-Dollar Corporate
Crisis

Unified Solutions America Positions Itself as Antidote to DEI/ESG-Driven Strategy Failures
LEXINGTON, KY – October 6, 2025 – Unified Solutions America (USA)

(www.unifiedsolutionsamerica.com), a consultancy dedicated to rescuing companies from failing
ideological strategies, today pointed to the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store brand debacle as a
symptom of a catastrophic failure in modern consulting. This follows Cracker Barrel’s
announcement that it is “ending its engagement” with Prophet, the San Francisco-based
consultancy behind a short-lived logo change that sparked intense customer backlash.
The swift reversal of the “brand refresh” is a microcosm of a wider crisis, where consulting
snafus have cost corporations billions of dollars as they are forced to backtrack on foolish
strategies related to DEI and ESG. Unlike Cracker Barrel, many companies remain infected with
these ideas and will find it difficult to pivot, having deeply embedded strategies that alienate
their core market.

“What we witnessed at Cracker Barrel was a predictable outcome of a consultant class that
values ideological conformity over business acumen,” stated Brooks Crenshaw, Managing
Director of Unified Solutions America. “Far too many C-suite executives have been brainwashed
into these losing ideologies, creating a echo chamber where they are encouraged to push these
agendas downward. This isn’t strategy; it’s strategic suicide. My background is in assessing
threats and neutralizing them. Right now, the greatest threat to many American corporations is
sitting in their own boardrooms, dressed in a suit and pushing a playbook for self-destruction.”
Crenshaw points to the cumulative billions lost by brands like Bud Light, Harley-Davidson, and
others as evidence of a systemic problem. He argues that large consulting firms have become a
monolithic entity, pushing a one-size-fits-all, “woke” agenda that is fundamentally at odds with
the principles of meritocracy and market-driven success.

“The consultants from Prophet, McKinsey, BCG, and others sold Cracker Barrel on
‘modernization,’ which was simply a code word for stripping away its unique, Southern identity
to fit a bland, urban, and progressive template,” Crenshaw continued. “They are not in the
business of strengthening companies; they are in the business of making them compliant to a cultural fad. The companies still clinging to these failed DEI and ESG initiatives are on a
burning platform. They have been misled into believing that alienating their base is a form of
progress.”

Unified Solutions America operates on a fundamentally different principle: meritocracy. The
firm’s role is to act as an experienced guide to help companies purge these costly ideologies and
return to their core strengths.

“It takes a firm with clarity and fortitude to help these organizations deprogram and guide them
back to greatness,” Crenshaw said. “We conduct a strategic triage. We help them dismantle the
internal structures built on this flawed ideology and rediscover the inherent advantages that made
them successful—their true north. The pursuit of excellence, not the pursuit of a political
checklist, is the only path to recovery and dominant performance.”
